Yoga.

And.

Prosecco.

3 words that will change your Mondays forever.

Why is this only just becoming a thing and can I do it every day please?… were my thoughts after taking this class for the first time.

It’s held in the lush surroundings of Grano coffee shop on the outskirts of the city centre. Close enough for anyone who lives in the city centre, but also great for those who are driving because there are plenty of parking spots nearby. The café becomes a perfect yogi sanctuary after hours. A big enough space to avoid awkward hand to feet contact with the person next to you but small enough to make the class feel cosy and intimate.

Tilly the instructor is just as lovely as her name suggests. If you’ve never tried yoga before, do not be put off! Tilly really ensures that your lesson is made personal to you, and will always demonstrate a variety of poses for you to choose how much you want to push yourself. So likewise for anyone who regularly practices. There are moves and flows for everyone. Having practiced yoga myself for a few years, I have to say that her sequences have been some of my favourite! Each week she mixes things up and it really keeps you on your toes… literally.

The class lasts around 45 minutes and you can’t put into words how happy and chilled out you feel afterwards. I often turn up complaining of back or neck pain because I’ve been sat at my desk all day, but as every minute passes, you can really feel yourself loosening up. By the time the lesson is over, you’re ready for bed and the best sleep of your week!

Although, obviously not before a well earned glass of bubbly.

I honestly can’t recommend this class enough and I’m already looking forward to the next one…and the next one…and the next one!

Cheers guys and hopefully see you there.

You can join us at Yoga & Prosecco by booking your ticket here. Every Monday at Grano MCR.
